Is when a non essential element of a contract is broken. Entitled to compensation although the contract is still valid. Eg Katie buys a car but the car is delivered one day after promised

Breach of condition

when an essential item(condition) of a contract is broken, this terminates the contract and the 2nd party can sue the 1st party who caused the breach for damages.
