1.always start with low power


2.use the coarse focus to move the objective away from the stage


3.position the lamp and mirror to get good light


4.use the clips to hold the slide


5.looking from the side bring the objective close to the stage


6.use the fine focus for medium power and readjust the light if it helps


7.turn to medium power if you need more detail


8.when finish reset to low power and put the microscope back in its box
