National Interest

What a Nation-State is interested in for the benefits for them. Or actions they have out of self interest.

Peacekeeping

A force to maintain peace.




Ex: UN

Peacemaking

A force to make peace, often by reconciling adversaries.

Domestic Policy

Policy within ones own country regarding ones own country and its rules and regulations.

Foreign Policy



Policy within ones country regarding other countries and rules and regulation when it comes to foreign aid etc.

GDP

Gross Domestic Product. The measure of the market value of all goods and services for a country.

Ultranationalism

A form of extreme nationalism. When one believes their Nation or Nation-state is above all others.

Propaganda

Information usually with a major bias or misleading nature.

Appeasement

To fulfill someone's needs or demands. Even if it is not in ones best interest or right to do so.

Mandatory enrolment of men into the military.

Genocide

mass murder, typically of individuals all of the same ethnicity.

a deliberate act that causes human death or suffering of a large amount.

an action that occurs during the war that violates international rules of war.

When hitler attempted to wipe out all jewish people or people with mental illness through serious violence.

Attempting to wipe out an ethnicity.
