My name is Jade Hughes;
J is for joyful, jubilant, for jumping over obstacle that may come may way. A is for active. I love this school, and love to get involved. I am attentive, assertive and have a positive attitude toward all areas of school life. D is for determined and dependable. I am committed to Hunter Christian School, and am passionate about positive change. And finally, E is for enthusiastic and energetic. I have lots of energy to help you if you have any problems that need to be resolved. |
Good Morning Teachers, Parents and Students.
Firstly, I’d like to welcome you all to this special assembly we have here today. Now lets get started. For all those people here today that don’t know me my name is Jade Hughes and I’m in Mr Bowie's class. And to all those people that do know me you should feel privileged, so you have no excuse now to come and say hello and get my autograph just joking. Now that everyone knows my name we all know what name to vote for. |

I have enjoyed myself immensely attending Hunter Christian School, I would love to become your school captain.
I am confident that I will be a suitable candidate. I promise to work hard to be an effective leader that you would be proud of in the school. I will try to uphold and obey all the rules and become the role model that you can all look up to. |
I will assist teachers and students in any way possible to the best of my abilities.
I strongly believe that I’m respectful a good listener and trustworthy and I also believe that all these qualities are very important in a everyone’s life. Firstly, I would like to start by explaining to you what this position means to me. The School Captain needs to be a respectful but also fun loving person, someone who can represent the school and its core values. |

Secondly, good listener:
A good leader will always listens to others and they never judge about who that person is and what they do. Leaders don’t just bark orders or boss people around. They listen to their team, their peers, and even their competitors because they know it is the best way to understand a situation so they can make the best decision possible. Boys and Girls I am that listener. |
Thirdly , I believe I am a trustworthy candidate. I am well organised and I like to do tasks that I am given at a high standard. I treat everyone equally and try my best to include everyone in all activities.
I love helping others and setting a good example to other students. I like to try my best at everything I do. I like contributing to the school in any way possible. I have represented my school in many fields: State Cross Country, State Athletics, Zone Swimming, Netball, Cricket and even performed at MADD night. A good athlete and performer is a good leader. |

The role of School Captain is immensely important, not only for the school but for the wider community of Hunter Christian School. If elected School Captain, I will proudly represent the school, in everything I do.
As School Captain, I will strive to guide every single one of you in this room to success, continuing to set a good example to you all. |
