There are 2 ducts (supply [cool air] and exhaust [hot air]). Each has a normal fan and a STBY fan.

Where does trim air come from and what other valves are associated with the trim air valve?
Trim air comes off of engine bleed air, before pack and mixing manifold and allows 3 (FD, FWD and AFT) trim air modulating valves to modulate based on temp selector position.

If the EQUIP COOLING OFF light illuminates what action should the crew take?


How long until restored?

Switch the supply or exhaust fan to ALTN and in 5 seconds the light should extinguish

All 4 window green ON lights extinguish and all 4 OVERHEAT lights illuminate. To reset the test select each switch off and on again.

If a descent is entered A/T retards to idle and the speed in FMA is held.


FMA shows RETARD once the TLs reach idle changes to ARM and MCP SPD is the pitch mode.

Upon pressing ALT HLD for immediate level off what is displayed on the FMA?
