When the Reserve Brakes and Steering button is pushed, what happens?

The system uses left over fluid from below the center hydraulic system standpipe and isolates it with two valves that will close. Energizes the C1 Hydraulic pump (regardless of switch position) and allows the use of Alternate brakes and alternate antiskid.

How do we ensure the parking brake will hold?

Check accumulator pressure.

When will reserve brakes and steering activate?

-Automatically when fluid is sensed below the standpipe level, power to the C1 is applied regardless of switch position.
