All incidents where a MOS is: Shot Killed Seriously Injured Any incident pursuant to a request from a captain of above |

A MOS: (not limited to the following) Is shot or otherwise injured Discharges a weapon causing injury or death to another Causes, accidentally or otherwise, SPI or death to another Is directly involved in an incident where his/her partner was killed or seriously injured Is directly involved in incidents or serious disasters where multiple serious injuries & deaths have occurred |

When a MOS (uniformed or civilian) is involved in a shooting incident, disaster or other violent occurrence resulting in death or injury the DO notifies this unit and provide details of incident |

This person will ensure members in need of trauma counseling are available for interview by responding Trauma Team upon their arrival and provide a suitable place for the trauma interview, where possible |

What optional uniform item will Trauma Team members wear? |
The authorized nylon windbreaker jackets with the NYPD logo on the front and the words "N.Y.C. POLICE" printed on the back |

All conversation with the trauma counseling team by MOS (uniformed and civilian) will be considered this |

The MOS will cooperate with members of the Trauma Counseling Team and keep appointments for follow-up meetings as scheduled. When will they report to Psych Services Unit or other location as required after the incident, or initial contact with Trauma Counseling Team |
48 hours after the incident, or initial contact with Trauma Counseling Team. Also, report for additional follow-up counseling/interview meetings scheduled with the Trauma Counseling Team |

Trauma Counseling Team members will not be assigned this |
TCT will not be assigned any duties outside their functions as Trauma Counselors when responding to the occurrence site |

The services of the Trauma Counseling Team are also available to members going through these events |
Members who are involved in personal or family tragedies (ex; violent criminal incidents involving themselves or their families, death in family, etc) |
