עצם הבריח. מחברת את הכתף לסטרנום. העצם היחידה המחברת את הגף העליון לשלד האקסיאלי במפרק סינוביאלי. מפרק זה מעביר זעזועים מהגף העליון לשלד האקסיאלי. עצם הבריח היא מקור הגנה לפלקסוס הברכיאלי. |

היפודרמיס. Loose connective tissue ושומן. מכילה בלוטות זיעה, נימי דם, נימי לימפה וקצות עצבים (cutaneous nerves). |

מתחת לפציה השטחית. לא מקושרת עם העור. רקמת חיבור דחוסה ומאורגנת יותר מהפציה השטחית. דומה לצלופן העוטף את השריר. בגפיים הפציה העמוקה יוצרת מחיצות לחלוקה פונקציונלית של קבוצות השרירים. |

Compartment syndrome |
הפציה העמוקה ממדרת את השרירים ולכן טראומה עלולה להוביל ללחץ כבד על כלי דם ללא יכולת ניקוז. |

Pactoralis major |
Origin: 1. Clavicular head: anterior border of the medial half of the clavicle. 2. Sternocostal head: anterior surface of the sternum, the superior six costal cartilages. Insertion: anteromedial proximal humerus. Action: Clavicular head: flexes the humerus. Sternocostal head: adducts and medially rotates the humerus. The cephalic vein is a superficial vein of the upper limb. |

Pactoralis minor |
Origin: Third to fifth ribs, near their costal cartilages. Insertion: Medial border and superior surface of the coracoid process of the scapula. Action: Stabilizes the scapula by drawing it inferiorly and anteriorly against the thoracic wall, raises ribs in inspiration. |

Axillary vein |
Conveys blood from the lateral aspect of the thorax, axilla (armpit) and upper limb toward the heart. |

תחל: פני השטח החיצוניים של 8 הצלעות העליונות. אחז: medial margin of the scapula. פונקציה: 1. מצמיד ושומר את הסקפולה קרוב לבית החזה האחורי במנוחה ובתנועה של הכתף. 2. פרוטרקציה של הסקפולה (שריר המתאגרף). 3. רוטציה של הסקפולה כלפי מעלה (הרמת משקל מעל הראש).
