There have been many controversy whether drones are a useful tool to aid local people in natural disasters or assist our military to perform tasks efficiently. Furthermore, drones are being used to further assist in helping locals reduce their work effort drastically. On the other hand people are viewing drones as a domestic application like spy on others or to help government agencies with tracking people. But whether you perceive them as a tool for spying or a tool to help our military, it comes down to your decision whether you support them. Pierre Hines the author of the book “Privacy” states that is illegal to fly drones over rural areas, but if laws change drones might be used for daily tasks like transporting medical needs …show more content…
In Volovelsky news article he mentions, “At the same time, corporations marketing and developing UAVs for civilian purposes, and the industries that support these manufacturers, have identified the vast economic potential which may be derived from the sale and maintenance of UAVs (in addition to the cameras and other equipment assembled into them). Hence, in the coming years we will undoubtedly witness a rapid expansion of the civilian use of UAVs."(Volovelsky). Likewise, farmers have seen drones as a very useful tool when it comes to aerial surveys of crops, or whether to see if their plants are growing and aid in irrigation. When it comes to military use the military are seeing drones as a very useful tool when it comes to size. As, Elisabeth, Bumiller mentions in her article “War Evolves With Drones” she states, that having a drone with a very similar body to an animal can surely aid in spying over enemies more easily as well as efficiently rather than sending a human spy, in addition this can prevent a death from occurring. Other than our military using them many rescuers use them to examine far …show more content…
This supports the idea of how drones benefit transportation whether on land or in air. Another benefit of how drones benefit the local community is that it limits the workload of people and provides aid where we humans can not normally reach. CNN reports that "While Robo Simian is a workhorse, crawling on its front limbs like a robotic ape, it generally moves at a slow and steady pace. So, when time is of the essence, and people are trapped in rubble and stranded in disaster situations a different technology must be deployed” (CNN). This quote from a designer for drones shows us how the UAVs can be so beneficial to us that they are able to reduce injuries. Other than transportation drones are also equipped with an advanced software which enables them to do tasks efficiently as well as effectively. The variation in drone capability and design allows drone applications to be extensive as well as flexible and also allows drone to execute complicated mission. Thus, Due to advanced software it is less likely for a drone to malfunction. Drones don’t offer just a safer way for scientists to observe their topics, they usually cost less, they are more efficient and they are even more precise than traditional approaches. If many drones cost a less than normal competitors it opens many gates to find a better way to
