What is physical security? |
A static feature which forms the fabric of the establishment. Eg handcuffs or cell walls/doors |

A specific procedure put in place to support the physical security measures around the establishment. Eg roll checks |

It means being aware of what is going on around you to reduce the risk of escape and create a safe and secure environment for staff, prisoners and visitors. |
