The highest point of interest in the story when characters solve his/her problem Usually the point of highest emotion |

Falling action |
Lose ends of the plot begin to tie up. The conflict(s) and climax are taken care of. |

Resolution |
The final workings of a story's conflict All of the loose ends are tied up (usually). Narrative twist: a surprise ending |

Protagonist |
The character that strives to solve the conflict. The main character we follow usually the 'good guy' |

Antagonist |
Creates conflict for the main character, often portrayed as the 'bad guy' or the villan |

Flat characters |
A minor character with one or maybe two sides to their personality. Characters are usually unrealistic and little is known about them |

Round characters |
Characters with believable and complex, believable personality, they are lifelike and have a realistic approach to situations. |

Dynamic character |
Dynamic character changes in important way because of plot events. |
|

Static chatacter |
Opposite of dynamic characters. They dont change in the course of the story(when given a chance). Have the same personality throughout. |

Stock character |
Stereotypical characters that are easily recognized as "types". Dosent matter which story they're in, they are always the same. Ex. Dumb jock, geeky scientist, the nerd. |
