Useful steroids and equiv dose? Hydrocortisone Prednisone Methylprednisolone-Salumedrol Dexamethasone - Decadron |
Hydrocortisone- 20 mg *give 100 mg IV (adrenal crisis)
Prednisone - 5 mg *give 50 mg for 5 days for atopic dermatitis. If longer then one week need taper with last week being 20 mg.
Methylprednisolone- 4 mg * (60 mg for COPD)
Dexamethasone- .75 mg *4 mg IV (for sore throat, asthma) |

Atropine dosage (For bradycardia less than 60, symptomatic, blocks parasympathetic activity) |
.5 mg every 3-5 mins up to 3 mg |
