•Provide Couple's Therapy: When D.V. is occurring it is contrainindcated bc events in session could lead to abusive explosions later •Confrontational Interventions from Professionals to urge victim to leave abuser: is often re-traumatizing & can increase feelings of shame and may prevent progress |

-Failure of those responsible for care of minor to provide resources needed for physical, emotional, social development. -Seen as act of omission by caregivers due to limited abilities/resources vs Child Abuse, which is more willful. |
