Rh incompatibility |
Mother has Rh-negative blood (lack the Rh blood protein) and the baby is Rh-positive. If the baby blood gets into the mother's at all she creates antibodies to fight the protein. If these cross back they destroy the baby's red blood cells; reducing the oxygen to the organs and tissues. |
