This is particularly reflected throughout "Montana' Biggest Weekend," and " The Purpose of Altar Boys," because they are both about teenagers trying to figure out their sexuality, which is often something that everyone does at this age. The fact that these poems are told through first person makes the poems even more relatable for readers then what they already were. In The Laramie Project and " Elemental Journey," the fact that some parts are written through first person show the fact that sexuality is personal, but they also include second person. In the case of both of these pieces of literature, the use of second person helps the pieces draw in the attention of the audience.
