My use of interrogative sentence was to show the main character’s confusion and disorientation for example "is that really me?" This interrogative shows her startling realisation what she has become, she has lost her being and is becoming more like the lurkers the more she lives feral in the dystopian world. The self-questioning also confirms her the instability of the world she subsides in. My style model does a similar concept of using simple integrative sentence to question himself and his actions for example “what the fuck have I done? How could I have been so stupid?” to show his regret and repentance for his actions although he knows it’s too late to change what he has done. Similar to my short story which also shows ruefulness as both characters know they have made a mistake, although my characters regret comes from long term choices as she has been exposed to the new zombie world for far longer than the character in my style model so she has become also unhuman which ins shown the demonstrative pronoun “that”.
