There are a wide range of personalities throughout the faculty and students in a school system. Both extroverts and introverts could succeed well as teachers, but extroverts are more likely to do better at this occupation because they are more outgoing. Introverts just have to push themselves beyond their shell in order to teach effectively. Being a teacher involves a person to not be shy when meeting student’s parents, therefore, extroverts are more likely to succeed. For example, teachers deal with both rude and nice parents and extroverts are people who are able to keep their composure in situations rather they be good or bad. Being able to keep your composure is a key factor in a person’s personality and a good skill to have as a teacher. In early childhood education teachers have to interact with the kids in a playful way, unlike secondary education where teachers are more strict. Also, teachers have to be able to come to an agreement when in faculty meetings, in order to keep the school year going smoothly and effectively.
