SSG Gotschall served as the NCOIC and narrator for the BLC graduation ceremony for 24 months; his commitment to excellence and finest military traditions led in the successful graduation of over 1,200 USARAK Soldiers over 22 graduation ceremonies. SSG Gotschall spent 20 hours improving the Academy grounds as well as the safety for Students. He assisted in creating and constructing a real time 10 acre land navigation orienteering course. The live training capabilities and functionality of the course, led to a 20 percent increase on first time goes and raised situational awareness insuring the safety and return of all students during the land navigation evaluation requirements.
SSG Gotschall's dedication to training Soldiers and enhancing his unit was displayed during his assignment to the 164th Military Police Company. He served admirably while assigned as a Squad Leader; he was a vital asset in leading his Soldiers and company in winning the annual CSM Mark L. Farley Award as the "Best MP Company" in USARPAC. SSG Gotschall was instrumental certifying 17 separate fire teams and training subordinate leaders to work as Patrol Supervisors for the Company Law enforcement
