The first Crusade began in 1095, the pope called for all. Whether it be a peasant, knight, serf or criminal. The crusades needed all for the name of christ and glory! This and the promise the church and god would forgive all sin done by the knights. This made people from all over Europe to flock to the church to sign up as a crusader. This bolstered the number of the christians crusaders to invade and conquer the “Holy” lands. After a four year war the crusaders reign victorious. They had taken over the “Holy” lands! This might had have been started for the crusaders to get more land and settle more crusader state in the middle east or in the “Holy” lands. Both parties of crusaders one led by the King Of France, Louis VII and The King Of Germany Conrad III. Both parties separated and funny enough they both were defeated by Seljuq Turks. Both Louis and Conard and the remaining army they had all made it to Jerusalem. In 1148 they went on to try to attack the city of Damascus, they were defeated and this led to the fall of crusader controlled Jerusalem. In the 12th century the third crusade was started and it was aimed to get the “Holy” lands back and to reclaim the “Holy” City of Jerusalem. Again led by a European King, not French or German, this time it was a young English King by the name of Richard. It was his long life dream to retake the “Holy” lands and to reclaim the “Holy” city of Jerusalem. It was the Great European king versus The Muslim leader, Saladin. The crusaders sailed in from England and landed in the middle east or known as the “Holy” lands. The crusaders went and took over the town of acre. It was a city near the sea. Saladin kept on failing to stop King Richard from taking key coastal cities. After some number of months, Saladin and King Richard came to sign a treaty. But they have change the name to the Knights Templar, the Knights were founded shortly founded after the first crusades. The had outposts all along the roads to the “Holy” city. They would guard merchants and Pilgrims to and from the holy city, of course it would cost a small fee, it would actually cost a small amount. The Knights Templars are an important part of the crusades during and after. The templars played an important part in crusader because they have fought in almost every crusades. After the crusades they help make the way to the banking system we have now. They took in the gold and silver the pilgrims and the merchants brought to them to be protected. Then after a couple years of doing this the began to use symbols of credit, it was the way that you would let the store you were buying from that you had money and you were good for it. The Templars rise to power was so great that the order could have its own country. The Templar order rise to power started to threaten the church. The threat was so great that the church sent out a kill order for all of the templars. After a couple years the order was dismantled and destroyed. The order helped to make certain ways we live and use in our life. Like the way our banking system is worked and used. The credit symbols they used is the the credit cards or like paper
