Gasiorczyk stated to me in conversations that she is particularly struggling with meeting the needs of all her students while following the provided curriculum. Another component Mrs. Gasiorczyk is struggling in is providing students with enough opportunities to write. Students create a piece of writing in response to each reading on a weekly basis, it is difficult for students to go through the entire writing process in one class period. My role is to support all teachers in modifying instruction to support the needs of their students in the classroom. This is my first year in the role of a Literacy Coach, I feel as though I have a responsibility to new and returning teachers to be able to come into their classrooms and support them in any way they need to provide exemplary instruction to their students.
