Frederick Taylor developed a system that forever changed the management and efficiency of working, increasing the economical growth in the early twentieth century. During his time, he had noticed that the level of completion along with production was low, unsatisfied, he wanted to take action. His idea had caused workers to become organized in order to complete tasks and understand the technology they were working with. Conducting observations of many factory workers, he came up with the method of Scientific Management, where he focused on how tasks were completed from efficiency to quality. The pay amount was not the same for everyone. This as well created a motivation for workers to be more productive and increase the quality, so he the offer increased in compensation to those who performed better than others measurably. Brandeis, who invented the word Scientific Management as well as largely promoting the system, had used “Taylor’s ideas to help in the Interstate Commerce Commission 's hearings concerning railroad rates. He used Taylor’s Scientific Management methods as an example of progressive management techniques that could ease the strain on workers even as it raised their pay”.
