One major advantage of doing multiple sports is working out different muscles and allowing others to rest during the different sports. Burnout occurs when an athlete becomes exhausted or bored of a sport due to long-term stress. This usually occurs when an athlete has been doing the same spot for a long time and they start to become bored of the sport and start to dislike it. This does not typically happen with multi sport athletes because they are a participating in more than one sport, and it gives them a break from that sport.
