Even the Bible speaks of equality " There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is no male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus ( Galatians 3:28). People such as MLK have championed and suffered greatly in the name of equality. Entire movements have repeatedly been centered around equality. It is the reason women can vote, why we can go to school with people of different ethnicities, and why we can love who we want. Race, sex, religion; none of it matters. What would matter is that majority of the community would be happy. No one person or small group of people should hold all the power A society where all are equal is a society where there is no poverty, no injustice, no hate. Who wouldn 't want to live in a place where pain and injustice were nonexistent. If a person can accept that treating everyone fairly and everyone receiving the same rights is a good thing, then one must accept utilitarianism as justifiably true.
