This does not preclude the reactionary role of policing, such as emergencies, investigations and other areas involving crime fighting as in traditional policing. Prevention for the community policing method is a broad scope of labor intensive hours worked. This includes community activities where police presence is noticed at functions, where officers are seen in high crime areas to dissuade more criminal acts from occurring and with interacting with individual’s in the communities to encourage the bond of trust between the officer and the citizen. The cultural aspects of policing have not, however, with the new community policing and trainings, new ideas and philosophies are being used to incorporate a friendlier, kinder law enforcement officer who abides by the law and enforces the law; correspondingly is interacting with public in which he serves to be proactive, assist community members feel safer and have trust worthy relationships with law enforcement officers. Perhaps with reforms, advances in technologies, interacting with individuals more; productivity measures can be evaluated and used.
