In the Centre, after the psychological assessment it was confirmed that my daughter was suffering from Autism. We were totally upset by hearing that J had Autism. We were exactly not aware of what Autism was‼ We have heard that Autism is an incurable disease caused by multiple genetic defects. Worried and confused about the confirmation of Autism we have taken J to another Centre for Autism in the next township. The same proceedings were repeated and advised to take her to a play therapist in the same Centre. She enjoyed inset puzzles and was playing with Barbies. It was very difficult to engage her in different types of play but this had improved since the parents hadwe have been ‘” forcing “her to be more engaging with toys. Socially, LiyaJ was better with turn taking. For a while she did not “get the concept”.. She was able to wait a moment for her turn. She was having her best relationship with a 4four year old neighborhood boy and was willing to let this other child play with some of her items.
