    I learned many interesting facts about Rubin Carter. Carter was born on May 6, 1937 in Clifton, New Jersey. When Carter was twelve was sent to a state boys home; He attacked a man with a knife and claimed the man threatened to molest one of his friends. He escapes before his six year term was up. In 1994 he joined the army; that’s where he did train as a boxer..He returned home from the army and had the intentions of becoming a boxer, but as soon as he got home he was arrested and forced to spend ten months in a reformatory. Carter was arrested in 1957 for purse snatching; he spent four years in Trenton state, a maximum security prison.
