In today society, many individuals do not receive the recommend 7-9 hours of sleep or treatment of sleep disorders necessary to maintain a healthy immune system, recharge their body, and sustain memory and alertness throughout the day among other benefits. With our daily busy schedules, many feel that there is simply not enough hours in the day to get everything done and a full nights rest. Running on less than 5 hours of sleep has contributed to many negative impacts. Lack of sleep has lead to undesirable mood swings and agitation that can have a negative impact on family life. A number of automobile accidents, occupational accidents, and medical errors have also resulted from sleep deprivation. A few companies such as Google have taken action by implementing nap rooms within their businesses however not enough companies have followed suit.
