The team had a rough start going 9-8. Later in the year the team would then rally together after a player only meeting finishing that season with a 58-24 record and winning the second seed into the playoffs. In the 2011 NBA Playoffs, Miami had beat the Philadelphia 76ers to get out the first round of the playoffs, they then beat the Boston Celtics to get out the Conference Semifinals, and the Bulls to win the Conference Finals.
