    Jon “Bones” Jones was the most feared light heavyweight in UFC history. At the young age of 23, Jones, became the youngest UFC champion of all time. It took him little effort to conquer the whole weight division due to his extreme athleticism and raw talent. Ultimately Jones’ reckless behavior and poor choices led to several suspensions. Although Jones has made many poor decisions, he always made a comeback. Jon Jones became the Light Heavyweight champion through his athleticism and dedication; however, his poor decisions caused his downfall and possibly the end of his career. Jones was born in Rochester, New York on July 19, 1987. His father is a pastor at a small pentecostal church, and his mother is a nurse. Jones’s family is religion oriented, with his father being the pastor. He even has a tattoo on his chest, bible verse Philippians 4:13, which was his sisters favorite bible story before she passed (Rousseau). He has one older brother, Arthur, who is 28, and one younger brother, Chandler, who is 24. He also had a sister who died from cancer before the age of 18. Both of his brothers display the same athleticism by playing in the in the NFL. According to boston.com, Jack Andrade, a UFC journalist, said, “the Jones family is the toughest family in sports today”(Andrade). Jones is now living with his fiance Jennie, and has two daughters Leah and Carmen. His family has always been close, and the struggles they have persevered through have brought them even closer.
