Three sighting devices incorporated into the fire control system include: • Computing sight M38 - designed to control fire of the cannon against both air and ground targets. • Reflex site M24C - designed to superimpose a cross-hair pattern in the gunners’ line of sight. • Speed ring sight - used during manual operation if a power failure or local control system malfunction occurs (ADA units in Vietnam, n.d.). The M-55 Quad 50 was another Air Defense system used that consisted of four Browning M2 .50-caliber machine guns mounted on a power turret and attached on a deuce and a half or a five-ton truck (ADA Units in Vietnam, n.d.).
