    Break on Through is a biography based on the life and death of Jim Morrison, lead singer of The Doors, a prolific figure in late 1960’s rock n’ roll. The book goes into immense detail about the events leading up to the formation of The Doors, including Morrison’s educational decisions and overwhelming drug use, along with the popularity of he attained during that time as a sex symbol, and his eventual death. Authors James Riordan and Jerry Prochnicky both have done extensive research on Jim Morrison dating back 20 years from when the book was originally released in 1991. It’s no surprise that they both started their research on Jim Morrison in 1971; that’s the year that he passed away. As such a mysterious and intriguing human being, it is no wonder that it took them 20 years to compile all the information necessary to produce the most extensive and objective biography that has ever been written about Morrison.
