    The essence of tap dancing comes from the tempo. Tap dancers have to “listen to the rhythm” to execute their paces. Tap dancing seemed to be particularly developed in America and especially on the East coast. This movie shows that this type of dance is unisex and that dancing is not only “for girls”. On the contrary, the only main character seen in the movie that is a female tap dancer is Amy; the other characters are a majority of males.
