    There is a lot of surveys before that has public speaking as the number one fear for a lot people especially in America. Some of the famous reasons are stage fright, being judge, low self-esteem etc. However, we all need to speak in front of either a small or bigger group of people whether we like it or not. Public speaking cannot be eliminated, we do it often even without realizing it, and sadly for those people who doesn’t like doing it including myself ended up not not being able to deliver the speech very well. But, what is there to be afraid of public speaking? I was born and raise in the Philippines until 2008 of December when my family and I migrated in the United States of America. Although many foreign people think that we use English as our second language, this is not the same case for everyone. English language are widely known and used mostly by the upper-class or rich people in my country, it’s their way of flashing their social status. Basically, I’m not part of that group, although I’m very much interested in learning the language because of my dream of going to Disney land and meeting with the backstreet boys. After a few months of moving in America I enrolled to Los Angeles City College, I thought I speak English very well until someone pointed out my choice of word and pronunciation; she even mimic how I talk and then she would laugh.
