Messi was born on June 24, 1987, and is currently 30 years old. At the age 13, Messi moved from Argentina to Spain after FC Barcelona agreed to pay for his medical treatments. After that, he became a star and because of him, his club led to the championships. When Messi was a young boy, he always played soccer along with his two older brothers and their friends. When he was eight years old, he was called in to join the youth program “ Newell’s Old Boys” a Rosario based club. Messi was smaller than most of the kids his age in the group. Soon he was diagnosed by his doctors as suffering from a hormone deficiency that stopped him from growing. Messi’s parents decided on a regimen of nightly growth-hormone injections for Messi, soon it was impossible for his parents to pay hundreds of dollars per months for the medication.
