what is posterior from bregma along the midline?
sagittal suture
what is the lambda? what bones does it connect?
remnant site of the posterior fontanelle at the junction of sagittal and labdoidal sutures. It connects the parietal and occipital bones
what is the asterion? what cranial bones does it connect?
articulation of 3 cranial bones: partial, mastoid process of the temporal bone and occipital bone
Dysfunction of which suture is often involved in TMJ disorder and headaches?

junction of internasal and frontonasal sutures
what is the metopic suture? what age does this bone fuse at?
where the two frontal bones fused . They fuse at age 6.

what is the hand placement for the vault hold?
index--> pterion
middle--> squamous portion of the temporal ring--> mastoid portion of the temporal little finger --> lateral angle of the occiput thumbs --> touch and rest very lightly on (or near) bregma. |
what is the hand placement for the occipital hold?
hands either crosses or w/ interdigitated fingers under the occiput. Keep thumbs on mastoid processes.
what is the purpose of the fronto-occipital hold?
to give you information about the relationship btwn the sphenoid and the occipit
