*reduces to simpliest terms, complex behav to 1 explanation. 1 variable on another variable. DEPRESSION - caused by chemical imbalance, more stress hormones (noradrenaline) *reductionist - its a complex disorder, many causes - theory restricts to chemicals. *more we reduce behav to constiuent components, less understanding (meaning etc) *are the treatments appropriate/reliable?? |
