Cabin Area (Exit Row)

3. PSU Test:


- Reading lights


- Oxygen Mask Compartment (Flush)


- Air Gasper Vents


- Press call lights and check for illumination on the mid-cabin ceiling exit sign & 1 hi chime.


4. Check fasten seat belt / No smoking signs are illuminated & fasten seatbelt while seated placard present


5. Check that no cracks in the window


6. Check bulkhead & back of each seat for placards


7. Check seat back pockets - no suspect devices


8. Check seat back pocket for safety briefing card (make, model, type of aircraft) & hemispheres magazine


9. Check that tray tables & seat back are in locked/upright position; lock in place/secure. No suspect devices


10. Check that seat belts are crossed and arm rests down (not torn or frayed)


- Check armrest, seat cushion, seatback reclines & returns)


11. Check cabin appearance (floor, seats, drop down tables and seat pockets) (USE FLASHLIGHT)


12. Get on floor - Check for luggage restraint bar under each seat


13. No suspect devices along the floor and fuselage


14. Check weather curtain secure/securing means operational and securing placards





Exit Row (Type III Over wing Exit)

1. Check window for instructional placard, weight placard, left/right side placard


2. Check for Safety Briefing Card / Exit Row information


3. Check lifeline compartment door for appropriate placards (NSD)


4. Check to make sure lifeline is secure in the housing (NSD) - 1 end attached to a/c / other has carabineer


5. Check inside compartment - no suspect devices

Lavatory

1. Check door inside & out for 'no smoking' placard


2. Check for $2000 fine 'tampering with smoke detector' placard


3. Check ' return to seat' sign


4. No suspect devices


5. Check toilet (under lid/back/in bowl) NSD & FLUSH


6. Check cigarette ashtrays


7. Check FA call


8. Check that automatic release extinguisher has not been tampered with inside lav sink cabinet. Thermometer should not be black / Push self-test switch and confirm operation with flight deck.


9. Check green power indicator illuminated on smoke detector


10. Check waste container flap retracts and closes securely (flush)


11. Check lav is clean and supplied


12. Check baby changing table
