Outline how the ICT strategy will be put into operation. They tend to cover training, security, and procurement. It is important that policies are reviewed regularly to ensure that they still meet the objectives of the organisation.

Many policies will be written into the employee's contract of employment. It will outline these policies and by signing the contract the employee is signing a legal agreement to comply with the policies. The contract of employment will be backed up by disciplinary procedures.
