Types of Communication Model |
Linear Model (one-way process) |
The process wherein the sender is the only one who sends message and receiver does not give feedback or response. |
Interactive model (two-way process) |
It deals with exchange of ideas and messages taking place both ways from sender to receiver and vice-versa. |
Interactive Model (circular model) |
The exchange of messages between sender and receiver where each takes turns to send or receive messages until the transaction is done. |
communication breakdown |
This happens when the message that is being sent is not received by the receiver. This means that somewhere in the process of communication, noise existed, affecting clear reception of the message. This may result in misunderstanding and misinterpretation of the message. |
PSYCHOSOCIAL BARRIERS |
These refer to both psychological and socialfactors. |
PHYSICAL BARRIERS |
These are anything that might distract people who are communicating with each other, therefore intervening with what was supposed to be effective communication. |
SEMANTIC BARRIERS |
These have to do with word choice-which words do we choose to use? How do we use them? What meanings do we link them with? We have to ensure the receiver will understand what we mean with our word choice. |
