What is the purpose of a surge tank?

Collects any fuel that went through the vent system during uncoordinated manuevers

Total weight of the fuel in the tanks when full?

20,786

Total number and type of fuel pumps.

11 total, each wing contains an ejector pump, wing ac pump, 3 scavenge pumps, dc pump (right tank only)

What is the purpose of the scavenge pumps?

Keeps the collector tank full to ensure constant fuel feed to the engines

What is the purpose of the DC fuel pump?

Provides the fuel to the apu operation, also during engine start when AC power not available

How does fuel crossfeed work?

By selecting low 1, the logic activates ac fuel pump 2 and openes the crossfeed valve, this will feed the engines from tank 2

What is the maximum fuel imbalance?

800 (794 for skywest)

Low fuel level activation level?

660ibs in tank

What would indicate scanvenge pump failure?

Fuel low level trigger warning at 3970ibs of fuel in 1 tank

Can the plane be fueled with no ac power?

Yes
