Both iron and oxygen are reactants. The Iron Oxide is the product. Everything to the left of the → is a reactant. Everything to the right is a product.

Solids have a definite shape and definite volume. Liquids have the shape of their container but a definite volume. Gases have the shape and volume of their container.

Chemical change.

The law of conservation of mass states that in any physical change or chemical reaction, mass is conserved. Mass is neither created or destroyed. The mass of the reactants must equal the mass of the products. 50g + O₂ = 75g. O₂ must be 25g.
