A function of the form y=ab^x where a is not=0, and b is not=1.

Exponential Growth

Funtions of hte form y=ab^x, whre a>0, and b>1.

Geometric Sequence

A sequence in which the next term is found by multiplying or dividing by a constant.

Monomial

A number, variable, or the product of a number and one or more variables with nonnegative integer exponents. Contains only one term.

Negative Exponent

Any nonxero real number raised to a negative power.

Nth Root

Unknown root of a number.

Order of Magnitude

The number rounded to the nearest power of 10.

Rational Exponent

Exponents which are rational.

Recursive Formula

Allows you to find the nth term of a sequence by perorming operations to one or more of the preceding terms.

Scientific Notation

aX10^n, 1</= a < 10 and n is an integer

Zero Exponent

Any nonzero number raised to the power of zero.(=1)
