107.1
Sanitation concerns |
- Water supply
- Drainage - Shade - Access - Site not occupied by other units in last two months. It is unlikely that there will be a waterborne sewage system available for use. the usual alternative is a latrine; must be 100 yards from the nearest natural water source and food service areas. The site should be reasonably near the user, but 50 feet from sleeping areas. |

The TEMPER is the HEART of the tent |
It provides climate controlled billeting and support facilities for customer/tenant functions. The TEMPER is the building block that is used in the 9 different subsystems of a camp layout.
* Customer Billeting * Operator Billeting * Administrative / Medical / MWR Services * MWR Facility * Chaplain * Sanitation and Food Preparation * Dining Facilities * Field Showers (2 Each) * Containerized Shower Subsystem |

107.2
Discuss the purpose of leach fields. |
An important part of a septic tank individual sewage disposal system, used to dispose sewage and gray water into the ground. Constructed of 4 to 6 in perforated pipe, pipes are 5-10 feet apart; laid out in a herringbone pattern or with the laterals at right anglez to the main distribution pipe.

Reverse Osmosis Water Purification Unit
|
|
107.9
Capabilities of the ROWPU |
- The ROWPU is the most common field purification system in use. This versatile unit will produce potable water from contaminated sources including fresh, brackish, sea water. The finished water must be disinfected to eliminate viruses and protect the water from microbial contamination.
