Rosa didn’t let what happened when she was young bother her when she grew up. “In 1932, at age nineteen, Rosa met and married Raymond Parks, a barber and an active member of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored people.” (biography.com, al.) Rosa got all of her support from her husband. She didn’t attend school after she went to the negro college because she helped her sick grandma and and mom. Zoey Rebird was in a tough situation. It may have been the start, but it made it a long ways after her actions. After Zoey made all of her friends, and figured out who not to be apart of, she knew she had to take down Aphrodite. “‘Zoey Redbird, I knew you were special from the day Nyx let me foresee that you would be Marked.’ She smiled at me and put a finger under my chin, lifting my head so that she could get a better look at the new addition to my Mark.” Zoey learned while she was at the House of Night that she was one of the Highest Priestess. She had a special Mark, and kept advancing faster than the other fledglings. Zoey saved her ex-boyfriend and her soon to be boyfriend at a Dark Daughters and Sons ritual. She also took down Aphrodite, and would become the new leader of Dark Daughters and Sons. These two women compare to each other by succeeding and moving on in life. They don’t let others stand in their ways. Zoey Redbird and Rosa Parks are similar because of the background in their lives, and the will and strong pride it took to stand up to the things that they may not have wanted to do. The actions made by Rosa Parks and Zoey Redbird helped them realize that they are worth so much more than what people tell them they are. The next time there is a conflict in your life, take it and make the best out of it, and show others that they can look up to someone when they need it
