In chapter 6, A Man To Remember, Yoast talks about the strong bond he had with Gerry Bertier. Also, how he always wanted a son he said “No, I never had a son but I had Gerry Bertier” pg.103. Yoast wanted to be a father figure to Gerry since his father passed away. I think that has to be the most generous thing anyone could do. No one is asking them to act like a parent figure to someone they just do it and that hands downs is truly amazing. Yoast was also there when Gerry got in a accident. He was truly his right hand. There was another spin in this chapter. Bonnie Yoast's daughter turned out to be a drug addict and was being abused by her boyfriend.
