At the very beginning of this personal project I had no idea what I was going to do, I just knew I wanted it to be something I loved. I initially thought I could just do a sport, which led me to wanting to do wrestling. I have not done wrestling for a long time. I have done many other sports throughout my life, including track, cross country, ballet, jazz, and swimming. Even though I have done other sports when I started wrestling, I knew it was the sport that I enjoyed the most because it just gave me the most adrenaline, it was fun, and I was willing to put in a lot of work for the sport. Once I placed, I started sacrificing a lot more of my time. I went to more practices at my wrestling club, I went 3 to 4 times a week. I also started to cut weight. I run 2 days a week to cut and go to the gym over the weekends. I didn't need to cut weight initially, but I learned very early into the season that if you cut in a healthy way and not all the week before, it's going to help your body a lot more throughout your matches. At the very beginning of the season I probably had to cut about 5 pounds which is not normally a lot but I decided to cut in the 3 days I had before and it made me really sick, and weak during my matches and I ended up losing and not doing good at all. So going into this state I knew exactly what I needed to do, who I was going to wrestle with, how to cut weight, and where my mentality should be during my matches. When I got to the stage my first match went great. I won it with a pin in the second period, so after that I went into the semi-finals. After my first match, I knew a lot of my work paid off because I had lost to that same girl in the first week of January, and it wasn't a close match at
