The design in the trenches felt like a smart tactic but the life in the trenches was another thing it took its cost for the soldiers that were in the war which affected many people and their families. Soldiers in the front line trenches had little sleep as they had to stay there for at least eleven days. A big reason that soldiers that soldiers were not aloud to sleep is because they would be on duty to be on the look out for sneak attackers. A reason that soldiers were extremely sleepy is that during the night time people would start to get the trenches cleaned up and ready for the next day. The trenches would always get destroyed by the enemy's weapon fire or by water damage. Sometimes soldiers would get trench foot usually created by critical conditions from rain that affect the trench. A big worry for soldiers in the trenches would be dysentery. This was a pain that was in the large intestine and this could lead to nausea, and or diarrhea.Which would've been a big setback for many soldiers who had that infection Mice were another problem for the world war one soldiers as if it isn't enough nauseating to see their long nasty tails and disgusting faces they would also eat soldiers that were no longer alive.
