“Working at McDonald’s is like riding a bike, except the bike is on fire everything is on fire you are on fire” is what I saw on a shirt once, and this one “You don’t have to be crazy to work at McDonald’s they will train you”, both of these are very true to working at McDonald’s. However, it can still be very fun to work there. But just like any job its half and half. For one thing, most of the people who work there I also went or go to school now with. So, I’m friends with most of the people there. On the other hand, McDonalds also pay you well. However you still have to deal with the annoying customers. Other than that it’s a good job. If McDonald’s didn’t have rude customers, it would an amazing place. Sadly, not everyone is perfect. Some Mc Donald’s locations have the option where the customer can order from a machine that looks like the Redbox machine. I saw one once on YouTube after somebody told me about it. That would be amazing if we had one, because it would be less rude customers to deal with because we wouldn’t to communicate with them as much. The one thing that annoys me the most is the rude customers who always complain about our service, but then continue to come back even though they could go to the other McDonald’s in Hood River. Instead they would much rather just complain about our lack of service. Another thing that annoys me that a lot of customers do is complain to me about the prices as if I’m choosing the prices, or tell me that it’s cheaper in Portland. It’s also annoying when they ask why a large and a medium cup isn’t a dollar anymore as if I have some story to tell them. Another thing that annoys me is when customers tell me at the end of their order to make sure their meal is fresh, as if we’re going to give them burgers and fries that have been sitting around all day, which is against health codes. McDonald’s is big on keeping our food fresh, that’s one of the reasons why people like our fries the most because we only keep them in the warmer for seven minutes, which causes us to throw a lot of fries away, but we still make a lot of money
