Nam-Jon-Yeo-Bi is apart of a bigger concept called the Hundred Schools of Thought. In this concept women are not viewed as equals but seen as people who are home-bodies. This concept is still amazingly still viewed as acceptable in Korea for women to be only houseworkers or childcare providers. According to the Huffington Post 20 percent of married women in South Korean still follow this traditional concept of social norms. Plus only one percent of married men in South Korea take paternity leave when their wife is pregnant with there children. Ji-Seung knows that these injustices are something that needs to be publicized around the world. The women of Korea deserve more rights and respect then what is given to them. The movie Mothers Vengeance is to that the women of South Korea are overlooked and ignored just because of there gender. It also shows that when people undermine someone on the fact of race, religion and or in this case sex then we could cause more harm then anything.
Over all the women of South Korea are miss treated and should be viewed as equals in their society. They Adapted a more Western influenced life style and with time also needs to come change. The major part of this change needs to be that women be viewed more of a contributing members of society rather then as a homemaker or childcare workers. They are beginning to come through this change but i needs to come sooner because the longer they wait for this change the more oppression will
