From ancient to present times there have been many medical advancements in our Healthcare systems due to old and new diseases or disorders. A big discovery around the beginning of the sixteen hundreds was the knowledge of how the blood flowed through the body, where it went to and from. The creator of this theory was William Harvey in 1603. He made many contributions to anatomy and physiology around this time period but this was the biggest one. Through William's life he has had many years of schooling, has made a life changing discovery, and has had made many accomplishments. He decided to expand on Galen's theory about how blood circulates through the body. Through his research he found the heart-lung-heart circulation as well. Harvey ignored all theory and information in medical textbooks, he decided to go by his dissection of animals. People at the beginning of his theory thought it was a lie and didn't believe him. He found that blood circulates through the body to the heart and pumps blood in the heart and back to the veins. William Harvey made many accomplishments later after his discovery when he got older. Harvey became a college physician at the age of thirty seven teaching surgery. At the age of fourty Harvey won a recognition for being the best physician in London and was appointed physician king. At the age of fifty four he became physician of King Charles and another king after that. He was appointed two degrees from two different colleges around the age of twenty. William Harvey was a very intelligent man that made many life changing discoveries. He created the true theory of how the blood circulates through the body and heart. Through his discoveries he created the heart-lung-heart theory and was successful. William Harvey was born on April 1, 1578 and passed away on June 3,
